Music in worship and education is an important part of the life of FSBC. Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” There are many opportunities for individuals to be involved in the music ministry of our church.
The Worship Choir sings each Sunday morning. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays at 6:30 pm. The choir is made up of singers 18 years old and older. Their literature includes contemporary as well as traditional anthems accompanied by piano.
We have a vibrant youth choir that meets during the school year. This ensemble sings monthly on Sunday evenings, and rehearses on Wednesdays at 5:00 pm. Summer choir mission tours have taken the youth choir to minister in Chicago, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Missouri and Oklahoma. Students in grades 7 – 12 are welcome to be a part of the choir!
