Pastor
Russell Lievers

Bro. Russ is a native of Princeton, Kentucky. The father of two children, he is married to the love of his life, Karen, who he claims is the most kind-hearted person he knows. He pursued his preparation for ministry at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN. The longest serving pastor at First Southern, he loves working with a congregation that loves people and believes the Bible.
Historically, First Southern has been involved in planting several churches. Brother Russ hopes to build on that heritage by increasing engagement in global missions. Most simply, he seeks to preach and teach God’s word faithfully, share the love of God in Christ with all, love the people and to help lead the church to fulfill the mission God has given us.
